Since the business operates in a dynamic and ever changing environment, the Patterns of Business activities are also
dynamic and change as the business requirements change. Engagement Manager should periodically review the details
documented and update them to reflect the current requirement.
For example, in Retail and other similar industries the volume of sales increase during the holiday season and there is
an increase in demand for related IT services too. Service Engagement Manger should understand this requirement and
update the Patterns of Business Activity so as to balance the workload across different resources and services by
changing the priority to accommodate the higher priority seasonal activities.
User Profiles are periodically reviewed by the Engagement Manager in conjunction with Patterns of Business Activity and
necessary updates are done to reflect the user changes.
User Profile changes dynamically as roles and responsibilities at the Client’s end changes or due to reorganization of
applications and portfolio. As these changes directly impact the demand for services the Engagement Manager should
gather these information and update the User Profile which in turn will result in a more accurate and updated demand
for services and Service Demand Plan.
